Join us and your friends at the 3rd Annual Run for Blood Quarter Marathon & 5K. This event started with the goal to create a fun community activity focused on an active lifestyle. Our goal is to introduce more individuals and families to organized running and walking events like the Run for Blood.
Obesity is a problem in our country among adults and children. This has led to rising health care costs and individuals battling chronic conditions. Minneapolis is working to change the fitness habits of its community. We challenge you to “Commit to be Fit.”
In a 2009 survey of fittest cities, according to Men’s Fitness, Minneapolis was ranked the 3rd fittest city in America. The leader was Salt Lake City. They had a large number of people who take part in activities like volleyball, racquetball, aerobics, hiking, yoga, basketball, swimming, biking and running.
