Course
The Quarter Marathon (6.55 Miles) is two loops on the road around Lake Calhoun. The 5K (3.1 Miles) is one loop. The race course is USATF Certified. Download a course map here!
Timing
Event will be chip timed. Race day results will be posted on www.andersonraces.com
Packet Pickup
At Marathon Sports: On Friday, July 29, from 10 am to 6 pm.
At the race: On race morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. at the Lake Calhoun.
Race Shirts & More
All participants receive a short sleeve technical running shirt or hat, a goodie bag and refreshments. Quarter Marathon participants will also receive a finishers medal.
Age Group Awards
Age group awards will go to the top two male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20 - 24, 25-29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 - 54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and older. The awards ceremony for the 5K will be at 9:15 a.m. and the Quarter Marathon at 10:00 a.m.
Rules of the Road
The following are NOT permitted in the Quarter Marathon or 5K Run and Walk: Pets, skateboards, bicycles, roller blades, baby joggers or strollers. These regulations are for your safety and the safety of the other participants in the race. The staff of the Run for Blood events reserves the right to disqualify participants who have any of the above items.
Runner Bibs
All registered participants will receive a bib number that must be worn on race day. Please do not alter the bib in any way. The bib must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race.
Bib numbers are non-transferable. Each bib must be worn by the registrant to whom it has been assigned.
Finisher's Medals
All Quarter Marathon participants will be greeted at the finish line with a finisher’s medal. Volunteers will be there to put your well deserved medal around your neck.
Race Photos
Our photographers will be taking pictures of participants on the course and at the finish. Details to follow.
